The Kindle Paperwhite has been available in the market only for a few days now, but we already have a jailbreak for it. Then again, it appears that the hackers were able to break into the device pretty easily, as it turns out that this jailbreak for the Kindle Paperwhite is similar to the hack initiated on the Kindle Touch sometime ago. So, the hackers already had half the battle won.
The process is remarkably simple. All you have to do is upload a certain file to the root directory of the Kindle Paperwhite and then restart the device. Once it boots up, your Paperwhite should be completely jailbroken. You can do a lot of cool things with your hacked Paperwhite. Be warned though – jailbreaking is also a kind of hacking and its not for the fainthearted.
